MAMORITAI
Let’s grow crops together with the life that lives on the earth!
We are looking for Mamoritai Members who will continue to protect Japan’s rice fields together with us.
Mamoritai is a word we coined by combining the Japanese words Mamori (Protect) and Tai (Member), and is one of our grand projects.
Since we started this project, the number of rice fields we protect has been increasing year by year.
In the rice fields, we grow healthy rice (Koshihikari) using a unique method called Kampo Nouho, which does not use any pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

About Kampo Nouho Mai

Our company, SEINOUSHA, has been cultivating rice using a unique method called Kampo Nouho since its founding.
Kampo Nouho is a farming method based on the same concept as preventive medicine. Human beings can improve their immunity and develop a mind and body that does not get sick. The same can be said for plants and humans.
For that reason, we improve the immunity of rice plants by mixing herbal medicines into the soil. And the scent of herbal medicine is also effective in repelling insects.
We grow crops together with the life that live on the earth, so we do not use any pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
However, since the farming method requires a lot of effort, the yield is limited.
The variety is the popular “Koshihikari”, which is said to be the king of rice.
Our thoughts
Sometimes we wonder how much easier it would be to use pesticides. However, we are able to do our best because of the smiling faces of our customers who tell us that they want to eat this rice and that this rice is delicious.
These are the words that the agricultural staff working in our fields spoke to our customers at an agricultural experience event.
With the desire to leave the earth that nurtures life to future children and to protect the rich rice fields, we are working to increase the number of rice fields that do not use any pesticides and regenerate abandoned farmland.
What we want to create is a new style of farming that heals both body and mind. We would be very happy if as many people as possible were interested in our activities.

Our activities
Mamoritai members work on the farm three times a year. (If you are unable to participate in farm work, please contact us)
Late May – early June:
Rice planting

July:
Weeding

Mid-September to late September:
Rice harvesting

For lunch after farming, all participants eat rice (Kampo Nouho Mai) cooked in several clay pots. The rice is completely different from rice cooked in a rice cooker, and you can enjoy the original taste of the rice.
Harvested rice is shared with all participating members.
After harvesting, we will decide how much of the harvested rice you can share, and then we will deliver the rice to your home via regular shipping. (Free shipping up to 3 times)
