Miraculous White Fig
Banane called white fig
Every year, as the day of the fig harvest draws near, we remember the first harvest. That’s how much we look forward to the growth of figs.
The figs we grow in our fields are called white figs, and even when ripe, the yellow-green skin turns slightly red. Among the hundreds of varieties of figs, we chose Banane from France, which has a high sugar content.
In Kazo City, where our head office is located, figs are one of the local products along with rice, but most of the farmers grow red figs.
So we chose white figs to differentiate ourselves from other farmers.
However, we later learned that growing white figs is much more difficult than red figs. There was such a reason why white figs are delicious.
The story of how white figs grow

Fig cultivation that almost gave up once
We grow crops using farming methods without using any pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Instead of pesticides, we use herbal medicines that are safe for the human body.
Herbal medicines not only improve the vitality of plants, but also repel insects due to their special aroma.
Still, the sweetness of white figs attracts many flies and ants. Furthermore, sometimes we had to cut down fig trees while weeping because small animals came to destroy the fields, and longhorn beetles would damage the trees and lay their eggs.
During the rainy season in Japan, we had a bitter experience in which we had to throw away most of the harvested figs because of the high humidity and mold growing on the figs.
We have had discussions several times about whether it would be better for us to stop growing figs if the hard days continue despite our best efforts to grow figs.
The fig trees endured likewise
But a big change has come to our fig farm.
We were worried about the effects of the rainy season, which is longer than usual, but when we started harvesting figs, we had almost no figs to throw away.
We were worried about the effects of the longer than usual rainy season, but when we started harvesting figs, we didn’t see any damaged figs that would have to be discarded.
No more mold problems, not even insects to be seen.
All of them grew splendidly and became very beautiful and delicious miraculous figs.
We think it’s because the fig trees have become accustomed to this land over the course of about eight years.
When we thought that, we realized that the fig trees endured just like us.
Just as it takes time for humans to get used to a new environment, we think that fig trees worked hard in secret until they got used to a new land, and we love them very much.
Humans grow with crops
When we first started working in agriculture, we thought that people tended and nurtured the crops, but in reality, the crops have a positive impact on our minds and bodies and help us grow. we came to think so.
With such thoughts in our heart, we would like to deliver the wonderful blessings of nature to everyone with gratitude.
