The figs we grow in our fields are called white figs, and even when ripe, the yellow-green skin turns slightly red. Among the hundreds of varieties of figs, we chose Banane from France, which has a high sugar content.<\/p>\n

In Kazo City, where our head office is located, figs are one of the local products along with rice, but most of the farmers grow red figs.
\nSo we chose white figs to differentiate ourselves from other farmers.
\nHowever, we later learned that growing white figs is much more difficult than red figs. Still, the sweetness of white figs attracts many flies and ants. Furthermore, sometimes we had to cut down fig trees while weeping because small animals came to destroy the fields, and longhorn beetles would damage the trees and lay their eggs.<\/p>\n

During the rainy season in Japan, we had a bitter experience in which we had to throw away most of the harvested figs because of the high humidity and mold growing on the figs.<\/p>\n
